• WordPress has a “subscriber” user role. Why not use this in your plugin, instead of doubling up functionality and adding yet more tables into the WordPress database? In order to use this plugin, we’d need to export all our subscribers and then reimport them into Newsletter. Also means it won’t work with LearnDash or Memberpress.

  • I’m no expert, but I’ve been running the Newsletter plugin for a number of years now. I specifically do not want (or need) to have newsletter subscribers as WP subscribers on my sites. There are no additional functions on the sites that require users to create an account or log in.

Hi, thank you for your review. There are pros and cons to using WP users as subscribers, but it would be a very long story, we can talk about it on the support forum. Mainly it is a historical reason originating when I first created the plugin 15 years ago :-).
