Good plugin but unable to set event date

It’s easy to use with nice interface. However, the timeline showed the creation date of event(e.g. all shown as 2018) instead of the actual event date. Not sure if it’s because I am using a free version and this is the restriction.
For now I have to use css to disable dates from the post.

Erichnian – I am sure this is a WordPress 5 thing, not a Cool Timeline thing. I’ve been using the Pro version for two years and I began having the same problem the minute I installed WordPress 5.
My whole history site (transcribimus.ca) depends on being able to date a post from its actual date in the past.
I’ve found a workaround – cannot correct the year using the date feature within the post – but when you click the post icon, you can correct the year using “quick edit”.
Will let you know if I find a better solution. Marga
