Good plugin, but please stop the nagging

  • Every upgrade results in a “must see or we’ll keep nagging you” reminder on every admin page you open. Now, with version 2.3.4 there’s an insistence about “Don’t miss your crawl errors: connect with Google Search Console here.”

    Please stop with the nagware.

  • Exactly, they drive me nuts since the last update.
    I think it’s a gimmick of Joost. They bother you, pretend they don’t know, people start to talk about it, and suddenly they have new update that makes things right.
    Isn’t that dirty?

    There is a way to turn off the nags, but you need to add that to your theme’s functions file or to a functionality plugin.

    I have taken the initiative to release a plugin that removes all the nags and other nonsense from the Yoast SEO plugin.
