• I think this is a good plugin for simple events – where tickets and pricing variations are not complex.

I liked the easy of setting locations, and the ability to make locations seem important through custom pages for that. I loved the use of our basic wordpress setups for events. We love that offline payment and custom event centered emails can be sent after a booking is made.

However, and the only reason for not a 5 star: it’s not ready for our needs:

1). We need conditional logic in our forms. For example, if a person chooses commuter, they should see certain fields only a commuter needs to see. If a person chooses to stay in the hotel, they should be able to see options (triple, double, single eg.). If a commmuter is coming multiple days, they could choose multiple meals. Calculations of final price needs to be dependent on choices users make. Making some fields conditional on choices on a prior field would be a huge mile forward.

    2. We need an easy box to put a link to off site registration (like woo-commerce’s external product link function). At this moment, we were hard coding guttenburg buttons via template. While there is a way to use some #_ATT fields, we non-coders found that process too challenging to use safely or troubleshoot errors even with reading the documentation.

While the pro version gives great flexibility, we found these two limits to our needs making this the not-right plugin for us.

I’d do 5 stars the for features that worked for us, but we won’t be using it for our needs.

Thanks for the honest and constructive criticism!

We are planning on revamping our Forms UI later this year, and conditional logic is something we will consider for sure, along with linking fields to surcharges.

Hopefully in the future as we add more features you’ll reconsider ??

As we have tested multiple event plugins, we think yours is the strongest potential for how we do our registrations.

When conditional logic appears (field forms that can appear based on earlier answers), we will jump back in. It needs to be off-the-street simple that a first day employee can make it work.

You have so many other rich features that make this plugin work for our needs.
