• The plugin works as expected, but the notifications are just killing me.
I receive a notification that I need to re-process SEO data. I disable that notification, and after 1-2 hours, what do you know? It’s there again. And so on, and so on.
Dear developers, If I dismiss a notification, it should never pop up again, and stop bugging me with the same thing over and over again.

I will be more than happy to change my review when this issue is addressed and I am totally aware that this plugin is great, and the hard work that was put into the development.

    Kind regards.

  • Hi @fribba,

    Thanks for your comment.

We are sorry to hear you find one of the Yoast notifications annoying.

First of all, let us clarify that the SEO data optimization function creates the necessary SEO data in your WordPress database for improved plugin’s performance. The optimization only needs to be run once (unless you change your permalinks or category base) so we’d recommend you click on the “SEO data optimization” button.

If for any reason, you don’t want to perform the SEO data optimization, you can just hide the notifications in the SEO > General > Dashboard panel. The plugin will work as normal and you should no longer see the notification.

We understand that the notification re-appears for you after a few hours. That’s unexpected behavior. Please, make sure you’re running the latest version of the plugin Yoast SEO v15.5 and WordPress v5.6. If the problem persists, we’d appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.

    Thanks!
