• As several of the reviewers said, it’s a great security package if you want to harden a WordPress site. But, when on a multisite installation, sometimes it prevents visitors from commenting.

Had to deactivate it since commenting is part of the process of blogging, here…

Searching in the forum for a solution is done by browsing endlessly until you find a post related to your problem but with no answer. Meh.

It’s usually good etiquette to at least give us a chance to reply to the issue via the forum before coming up with your own verdict and assumptions regarding features you say apparently don’t work.

You say that “sometimes it prevents visitors from commenting” – as far as my tests have shown I haven’t seen any issues regarding this for multi-sites or normal sites. Maybe there is something going on in your setup which might be causing this.
Please see my reply in the forum post you raised and we can take it from there.

    Hi,
sorry for the harsh review. You’re right: it’s good etiquette to go through a forum process beforehand.

I have a WP 4.0 multisite with over 300 blogs. We’re self hosted, of course, and on linux updated to altest kernel, php 5.5.x, etc.

It’s true I’m running Buddypress and several other plugins. I’m gettins a LOT os comment spam and would like to block comment spam on all my blogs, but can’t seem to find a proper plugin.

So I tried All-In-One-Security and it seemed to work well, but after activating it some of my blog admins reported getting “duplicate comment” error. Disabling anonymous visitors from posting but letting logged in users post comments.

So i deactivated all-in-one and it seemed to cure the bug.

I spent several hours looking through all the screens and browsing the forums (reading, mostly) without finding anything. Most of the duplicate comments seemed to date 3-4 years…

I’m pretty sure one of my plugins is conflicting, but on a multisite with 20+ plugins installed and over 300 blogs, some of them without active plugins (installed network-wide, but not activated), it’s hard
    to know where to look..

Sure I would like some help, i would allow one of you guys to connect as a super admin if it would help…

    Thanks.

ps: if the help i get solves the problem i will gladly rewrite my review, of course. And sorry about the bad etiquette. I got frustrated… ??
