• Hey!

I promise to pay-it-forward in the future if my question is resolved.

    My website is https://www.prodatingreviews.com

I installed the Flavor theme onto WordPress. It is a premium theme designed for product reviews.

After the setting up the theme, a custom “posts” section was created on the left navbar of wordpress for new articles titled “Dating Reviews articles”. It can be seen in this picture. When a user hovers over it and clicks “add new article”, they are given many additional options for rating and categorizing their review. So as it currently stands, ALL REVIEWS must be done via “Dating Reviews Articles” in order for the review to work with the template.

I’d like to give users the ability to submit their own reviews. Currently, the only way for them to do this is by creating an account, entering into the backend of the site, and clicking on “Dating Reviews Articles” to add a new review article.

I like the fact that users have to create an account to contribute. But I don’t like the fact that they have to enter into the backend of the site to do it.

I’d like to have a form that users can fill out in the front end of the site to accomplish the same goal. Is there any way to get a form onto the front end that will allow the user to contribute an article in this way?

  • I’m pretty sure Gravity Forms provides functionality to create a post from submitted form data.

(you could also code a form yourself and then use the wp_insert_post() function)
