Good, but the latest update has messed things up significantly

This plugin is excellent in its basic format – it registers users, allows password resets and logging in all at the front end without the need for the WP interface. In short, it provides a professional approach to user logging.

However, since the latest update, some pages have been blocked (even though they haven’t been set to be blocked). Additionally, the reCaptcha v2 does not work in the registration screen, despite having the correct API keys from the new reCaptcha system to manage it (it specifically states in the admin area that you need these for it to show). The Really Simple Captcha works so I have had to use that until this is resolved, though it is not consistent with the new reCaptcha used elsewhere in the site.

It’s disappointing that fundamentally there are issues with some of the straightforward functionality the plugin offers, and is slightly frustrating to consider rolling the system back to a previous version.

On the whole, I do like the plugin and what it offers, but for me to even consider premium bolt-ons/versions, the plugin has to work in it’s basic format first. I think the developer needs to test it more, and once issues are resolved it’s very worthy of 5 stars.
