• I like the new editor and think it’s pretty impressive with how it builds content into a post. However the user interface seems a bit cluttered and I like the fact that currently WordPress uses a mixture of icons and text; Gutenberg seems to try and achieve as much as it can with just icons and the editor also seems to assume what you want to do next a bit too much.

Very good though and excited to see this in core but I’d hope some refreshments are made to it so it’s easier to transition from TinyMCE to Gutenberg.

It’s great you are excited, personally I find Gutenberg really exciting myself! All feedback is helping make the project better, so thank you for yours.

I’ve revisited the Gutenberg project and it’s slowly winning me over for sure. I’ve updated my rating to reflect this because I think in reality, this should be a welcomed change to WordPress and one that is much needed.

It’s come a long way since I first reviewed it and now the project has matured a lot more, it’s showing to be a real contender for editing. Obviously there’s still a lot to work on to make sure plugins work alongside the new editing experience, but I think it’ll be a positive change.

I think what has helped has been contributing myself to the project and being able to have an input into Gutenberg. I’m excited to see this in Core now and move the project along further.
