Really great plugin, super easy to use

  • Honestly this is a great plugin, very well constructed and with lots of features and options.

    I find it super easy to setup my affiliate links and insert them into Posts, although it’s optimized to use with the newer editor (Gutenberg/blocks) but does still work great with the old Visual Editor (if you’re on an older version of WP, or using the Classic Editor plugin to return a newer version of WP to the old Visual/Text Editors).

    I love that it lets me use Categories and Tags to organize my links, and shows a per-link click count on the Links overview screen so I can compare that to the click counts shown in my various affiliate program dashboards. Best of all, no more searching through Posts or doing SQL queries when I need to swap out an old affiliate link for a newer one, I just change it in my EAL overview screen and all links in use are updated.

    The free version is terrific and well worth 5-stars, and the premium version (which I upgraded to) is also well worth the small cost for the extra features.

    Hi there,

    Happy to hear you like the plugin in general.

    The free plugin description literally says this:
    “Tracking of monthly and lifetime clicks”

    And that’s available and not limited in any way. On the Affiliate Links > Manage page you can see all the clicks for the current month and lifetime for every link. More than 10 as well, of course, or that would be completely useless.

    What is limited to 10 is the raw click data with all details (like mobile/desktop, referer, …), which is mentioned as a Premium feature in the description:
    “Get valuable insights with click statistics and charts”

    I definitely was not trying to mislead anyone and thought those descriptions were clear. Feel free to let me know how you think I should improve that wording.

    Perhaps just modify that one sentences which now reads:

    “Tracking of monthly and lifetime clicks”

    Like so:

    “Tracking of monthly and lifetime click counts. For detailed click reports please upgrade to the Premium version.”

    I’ve upgraded my review to 4-star and will give the plugin another go. Many thanks and kudos for creating what really is a great plugin. After I have a chance to use it for a bit I may come back and give it yet another star. ??

    I’ll update that description in the next plugin update. I agree that it can be interpreted differently at the moment.

    Now that I’ve had time to work with this plugin, I feel I was too hasty in my first review so I’ve updated it to reflect my current level of happiness with it, which is ‘very’.
