• I am using this plugin on few websites but when it comes to migrate of server or shifting of website then i have to start this custom widgets from zero.

I also went through community but there also mentioned that I have to start it from beginning for each pages or for each widget.

Anyone having better solution then this method would be appreciable.

    Thank You!

  • Hey there tsomo6380,

First of all thank you for taking time to write a review and rate Custom Sidebars, we appreciate that ??

With regards to migration and moving sidebars premium version of Custom Sidebars allows you to import/export sidebars so you could use that instead of starting from scratch. There is even a free 14 days trial available for new members on our site so you can grab premium version for free ??

Hopefully this will improve your experience with Custom Sidebars ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan

I have used cloning plugins several times (such as WP Staging and All-in-one WP Migration), and have migrated from server to server, and have never encountered the described issue. Perhaps it depends on the method of migration? I just clone precisely, which does not affect any plugins in any way.

Hello @mis_tral, I trust you are doing well today!

I am afraid I can’t replicate the same. I just tested this, migrated a site with All-in-one WP Migration plugin from server to a localhost installation and the Custom Sidebars settings and widget were migrated successfully.

Would you please let us know how many sidebars you have on your site and what method of migration are you using so we could try again replicate the same?

    Please advise,

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastia,

I think you are getting my reply mixed up with that of @tsomo6380. I had the same experience as you, and specifically stated the plugins I have used without issues.
