The plug in works great with the basic functions. Unfortunately it is not possible to manually set the localized language. Many text-fields can be set manually, but not all. E.g. the validation texts on the subscription form is set automatically from the user interface of the WordPress administration language. The same goes for some contents in each newsletter.

So, if your like me, and want the WP-admin GUI in one language, but wants the contents of your newsletters to be in another – this plug in is not for you. Too bad, apart from this it seemed really good.

And unfortunately I cannot agree to the other reviews stating that the Support is good. I would have expected the reaction “wow, that’s a great feature request, I’ll try to get it fixed”. Instead the support told me “I’m confused.”

    Hello Wentzel,

We’re already working on a way to customize the validation messages, this is part of a feature we call “User profiles” which will come out around March-April.

Nevertheless you can actually have the content of the newsletter in the language you want, all is translatable in the newsletter and the settings.

Now you’re right, Wysija is not meant to be working with different languages on the same site. This is a design choice we took at some point. Maybe we should change that… This said WordPress sites are not really meant to be multi-languages either, this is why there are plugins such as WPML or qTranslate to post multi-language content. So we simply followed WordPress’ way.

Finally sometimes we might not fully understand your issues and can be confused. And it might require patience from you as well as from us, but be sure we will always answer your questions if you have any, and we will always help you if we can.

    Cheers,
    Ben

By the way here is a link to the feature request form if you want to ask for a new stuff in Wysija, depending on the popularity of that feature, we will implement it:
