Good and even better tool

  • Backup Guard is a great tool to backup your website, with many possiblities already in the free version. Migration goes reasonably well, but I still need a search and replace tool for some url’s. Not a big deal, so 5 stars from me!

    I had some issues with the liability of the product (Gold package) and got very good support. They tries everything to repair it. Unfortunately not all works 100%. Still a very good tool, with 1 or 2 flaws.

    1 = the upload often ends with a (php-)timeout error. After uploading 99%. Maybe it will help to increase the time limit (I still have to try that).
    2 = When the backup of upload fails, I do not receive an email until I login to WP and open the plugin.
    I can live with this, but is subject for improvement. Thanks to the wonderful help still 5 *!
