    I use this plug-in regularly. In general, it does what it says it will. However, it ought to be more capable without too much more programming effort.

    • The e-mail text is just a stream of run-on text. The user ought to be able to insert paragraphs;
    • By default, the plug-in inserts the entire post text into the message. When you change it, there is no way to ‘Update‘ the post as it will be seen by the user in the final e-mail.

    There are actually not many easy-to-use plug-ins that do the function of Email Users. This is a good plug-in that can be made even better.

    Have you updated the plugin to v4.7.10? The problems with paragraphs breaks not being maintained has been fixed as of last week.

    I am running that version of Email Users. Do I need to deactivate, and then re-activate the plug-in to get this functionality?

    No but you do need to enable it. There is a new checkbox on the Email Users Settings Page (Dashboard > Settings > Email Users) – it is called “Process Content with wpautop” and by default it is not enabled as this would have changed the behavior of the plugin for people who have been using it for years.

    If you enable that setting, the processing of paragraph breaks will work as you expect it to.

    Dear Mike:
    Thank you for the suggestions. I did what you said. The Settings page did suggest I deactivate and reactivate the plug-in, which I did. I also enabled the checkbox you describe. I will try it out, and reply shortly. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
    Bob
