It is a good Plugin. But – in my Cirumstances – it make my Site slower. Pagespeed by Google recommendet to optimize html/css/jscript. This is done very well by Autoptimize!
But – it increases the Server-Response-time extremely up to 3 Seconds!
Without I got 87 Points from Pagespeed – with it 74 (but more well done Points ?? ) and the Site was seeable/feelable to slow – especially on Mobiles.
I am Sorry – beside that, i would like it very well!

    Hi Tospe;
JS/CSS-optimization will always slow down server-response time I’m afraid (there’s a lot to be done, behind the scenes). That’s why I strongly advice to use it with a page-caching plugin (WP Super Cache, Hyper Cache, Cachify, …). The combination will ensure the best possible performance.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi, Frank
    I know.

I tried Cachify, WP Super Cache and one I forgot the Name.
Now I charge my Site with WordFence and its Falcon Engine – I also include Browser Caching and GZip wich gives me 87 on Insight Pagespeed.
My Site is running with WP 4.0 and the latest Avada Theme using a average Bunch of Plugins. As I said above – I am Sorry – but with Autoptimize it goes down, even with Caching via Falcon Engine.

Beside that: Thanks for your fast and kind Response!

I have no experience with Falcon-engine caching, but any page caching mechanism should (after the first hit) prevent Autoptimize from being triggered as the HTML in the cached page will immediately refer to cached Autoptimize files.

So, provided you do the tests after the page has been added in the page cache, you really should see an important improvement instead of a lower score. If not, you really should consider switching to a different page cache plugin.

    well, that’s my 2c, anyway.

    have a nice evening,

So again – thanks for your fast response.
This got me thinking. I had tried it with many Caching engines – but my question to me is – or was – am I to unpatient?
The Answer is easy – Yes.
    I am very sorry now.
After reading the last, I installed Autoptimiz once again. Fired it up and make my first Test on Pagespeed.
    Goes down to 74 again.
But than – I am ashaimed now – I waited for bout 5 mins. And now i am on 91, thats 5% faster. Happy.
Please take my apollogize – its perfect! I couldnt change the Stars i gave you – should be 5!
    Thanks alot!
    Have a nice evening too!
