• This was a good plugin but it’s now taken things which were free and made them “pro”.

The plug merely does some very simple htaccess changes. At best it is convenient, now it is garbage.

Bait and switch like this is super common and unfortunately a lot of developers just sell out after they’ve garnered a ton of users.

    Thanks for everything–uninstalling.

    Hi @brockdev,

I’m not sure what features you are referring to, but I can assure you that no features were removed from the free plugin. All features which were available previously are still there:

    – autodetects correct .htaccess redirect and inserts it
    – wordpress redirect
    – mixed content fixer
    – force rest api over https
    – site_url automatically gets changed to https.
    – several fixes for servers incompatible with the WordPress is_ssl() function

For a lot of people these feature are very convenient. If you’re an experienced WordPress user you can of course do it manually, although I have to admit I personally always use Really Simple SSL. It’s just very quick ??
