Going round in circles trying to connect to twitter

I’m having trouble connecting my account to twitter (the rest of jetpack is working for me but the publicize is not).

Here’s what happens…

I go to Settings>Sharing

I press ‘add a new twitter account’

I press ‘authorize the app’ inside twitter

This redirects me to a wordpress login screen. I login and it takes me to my wp-admin dashboard.

Then the whole process starts back at square one.

It seems to be an issue at the wordpress login step – any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
