I’m using WPML and have successfully translated a lot of my site. However, one problem I have is the BP Registration Options notification emails.

Currently, regardless of language then the standard notification is sent, which is in English.

I could of course change this to include text in the alternative languages but this is not a pretty solution and after a few languages would make for a very complex welcome letter.

Is there any work being done to fix this pretty fundamental issue of having a multi-lingual site?

Could you send over the pot/po file you’re using for your translating? I’m wondering if you’re perhaps using an old copy accidentally and not the updated version from the latest version. You can email them to michael @ webdevstudios dot com.

From what I can see there isn’t one for the language I’m supporting – Spanish. I am runing with an older version of the plugin due to the current version not moderating registrations. What version, if any, introduced the spanish translation?

Well, the “old copy” would be related to the .pot file provided to use to translate. Unless I’m somehow mistaken, the .pot file for the 4.1.x version was uptodate. So that’s the file you’d want to send me.
