Hey your plugin is not working with GoDaddy Managed WordPress without CPanel.

@gooalgenie Unfortunately, there is no cron job option in Godaddy managed WordPress hosting. Please check this post
https://in.godaddy.com/community/Managed-WordPress-Hosting/Error-with-Cron-Jobs-on-my-Managed-Wordpress/td-p/9265So please use ‘Issue and install Free SSL certificate’ option instead.
Hey I do have more than 10-12 sub domain with wildcard SSL on them hope they would not effect right?
Hey I tried it’s not working, nothing happens when I click on auto install free SSL it just refreshes the pages
@gooalgenie They would not effect as long as the existing SSL is valid.
I guess the button is not working due to some error. Please allow us a week, we’ll fix it and push the update.
As you don’t have option for the cron job, please don’t use the wildcard SSL option. Separate SSL for every subdomain will be fine.
Hey Anindya,
I have disabled Wildcard in your plugin settings.
And for investigating the matter of Auto issue of Free SSL not working would you like to have my Logins to further dig into the matter, ready to provide you the same.
Thanks,
VickyHey I did Auto install free SSL as I have godaddy without Cpanel the button is working but it does not make the Site SSL when I click on Issue free Auto SSL it gives following output:

@gooalgenie Everything looks okay. An SSL certificate has been generated and saved in the following locations:
Certificate (CRT): /var/www/sslgriffindigitalmedia/acme_v2/live/griffindigitalmedia.com/certificate.pem
Private Key (KEY): /var/www/sslgriffindigitalmedia/acme_v2/live/griffindigitalmedia.com/private.pem
Certificate Authority Bundle (CABUNDLE): /var/www/sslgriffindigitalmedia/acme_v2/live/griffindigitalmedia.com/cabundle.pem
Now login to your Godaddy account and install the SSL certificate. If you don’t see any option to install SSL, please contact Godaddy support.
@speedify I have archived your reply and flagged your account for moderation.
While I know you have the best of intentions, it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren’t your customers, they’re your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.
If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.
Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:
- Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
- Ask for a link to the https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();
output. - Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again (the Health Check plugin can do this without impacting any site vistors).
- Ask the user for the step-by-step directions on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It’s actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it’s difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.
When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They’ll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves. That’s how we get the next generation of developers.
Hey Anindya Sundar Mandal,
Thanks a lot for such great support with quick replies.
I don’t see SSL option anywhere in my godaddy Account and Godaddy support are saying they don’t support 3rd party SSL even after I provided them CRT, Private Key and Certificate Bundle.
What should I ask them, so they will do that for me?
Thanks,
VickyHey @jdembowski ,
He hasn’t asked me for any kind of User details.
I guess is that because I have pasted the Error Code on this query showing him that what happened when I Installed free SSL from your plugin.
I will take care next time too show error using screenshot tool rather than pasting direct error logs here.
Hope that helps,
Please Unflag him, he is giving really great support.
Hi @speedify ,
Reply from Godaddy
I am really sorry on this. In the Managed WordPress hosting plan you will not have the option to use the third party SSL.
As the CSR generation option is not available in the Managed WordPress hosting plan and Installation of the SSL is not option not provided by the WordPress
I am really sorry on this. I will definitely take this as the feedback to our concern team and our admin team.??
@gooalgenie Thank you very much for the support.
Sorry to know Godaddy’s business policy. Hope they will open the option in the near future.
