Godaddy install problem

    Hello,
    I have attempted the 5-min install.
    I have reached the part of installation where I enter “https://www.domainname.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php”
    and even though my database name, user name, and password are correct, it still gives me an error page.
    I believe that “localhost” is the correct hostname? Does anyone know for sure when dealing with godaddy.com?

  • hehe, godaddy gives you your database hostname and it’s not localhost it will look something like… (I guess godaddy is the 1% the config file talks about) ;P

    pxxmysqlxxx.secureserver.net

    i’m having this same problem right now, except my hostname has pxxmysqlxxx.hostedresource.com. don’t know if that’s affecting it but I’ve done all the steps.

    5-minute install turned to 4-hour

    you didn’t get all of the files uploaded
    some from the /wp-includes folder are missing
