GoDaddy and HUGE Restore Problem

  • I backed up my database and then restored it on a new server. I’ve never done this before but it seemed like it would be simple. Everything was restored but none of my 12,000 posts work because instead of being referenced to the category, none of them are referenced to a category and they look something like this

    I don’t know how to fix this and would sincerely appreciate any advice you can offer.

  • That link works for me. Site is working fine. All the links on your home page look like they’re setup properly with the category year/month/date added. Don’t forget to check your permalink structure “Settings > Permalinks”

    Yes, it is the problem of permalinks, its showing as “postname-category-id”
    Change it to what you were having earlier and your old links will work fine.
