I notice you talk about different backends and was wondering if there is anything I need to configure in godaddy cpanel?

Also do you consider this better than W3 Total Cache or Super Cache?

I do not have a godaddy account, so I cannot answer that question.
You probably do have to set up memcache, but you need to ask the godaddy support how to do that.

I do not want to go into stating that this plugin is better; it is a different approach, which only does full page caching, nothing else. Total Cache is a different topic, it tries to handle everything, be compatible with any hosting situation; this plugin is not aiming to be a a full-blown replacement.

Super Cache is also a different question because it’s a disk cache and not a memory cache.

If you’re looking for the easiest and most compatible one, check Hyper Cache; I used to use it for a very long time before writing my own.

Thanks for the pointers. I have enabled PHP memcached and installed wp-ffpc. I’m getting an error that says

Driver: memcached

Backend status:
127.0.0.1:11211 => down

Any idea how to debug/fix this?

127.0.0.1 is localhost.
11211 is the memcached server port.

Is the memcached server running on your host?
