Goal Points Calculation

This plugin has worked PERFECTLY all year long for my weekly American College Football Challenge to the great satisfaction of 57 Challengers. I have been rewarding points for picking the correct team (7 pts), picking the correct point difference (3 pts), and picking the exact score (14 pts). As the regular season is about to conclude, I will be returning everyone’s accumulated score to zero for the Bowl Season (39 games). I am also considering adding a new rule using your Goal Bonus option to reward points (2 pts) for guessing the correct number of points scored by one of the teams (your GoalPoints option). I’m not completely sure how this works. Telling me which of the following examples are true would help me out:
If the ACTUAL SCORE of the game is 27 – 24 and the following predictions were made, which calculations would be correct according to my rules above? I am confident that the first 4 are correct, but I am unsure about the last two.
1. Prediction: 27 – 30 . . . . Points = 2 pts
2. Prediction: 20 – 17 . . . . Points = 3 pts
3. Prediction: 27 – 21 . . . . Points = 7 pts + 2 pts = 9 pts
4. Prediction: 30 – 27 . . . . Points = 7 pts + 3 pts = 10 pts
5. Prediction: 27 – 24 . . . . Points = 14 pts
6. Prediction: 27 – 24 . . . . Points = 14 pts + 2 pts + 2 pts = 18 pts
