@mattiasviklund – You can use a shortcode to create a single (the preview) image from a gallery that when clicked opens the entire gallery within the Lightbox Effect selected (this is not a NextGEN Pro/Plus feature).

    Give the following a try:
    [ngg_images gallery_ids=1 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails disable_pagination=1 images_per_page=1 show_all_in_lightbox=1 use_imagebrowser_effect=0]

Change the gallery_ids parameter as needed and you should be fine.

    Thanks!

That′s awesome. Thou I visually don′t like the line/square around the preview image, and it also gives me a text button saying “Show Slideshow” over it. Any way to get rid of it and also make the previews image bigger?
Will this shortcode work with “Lightbox Pro” instead of “Fancybox”?

@mattiasviklund – The shortcode works with all Lightbox libraries available with NextGEN Gallery plugins. As to the slideshow text, just add the following parameter: show_slideshow_link="0"

The preview image size is based on the thumbnail references, the following parameters will need to be added as appropriate to change those dimensions: override_thumbnail_settings="1" thumbnail_width="240" thumbnail_height="160"

As far as the styling of the preview image, you should be able to adjust that with some custom CSS.

    Thanks!

@photocrati – That′s sound really good. Just wanna double check before I buy this theme for the work of my client.
Will I be able to recreate this page: Link
To click on one book and go to Lightbox Pro view of content such as: Link?

It would result with the first picture viewed being the cover of the book but that would be alright for us.
The hover zoom effect is not necessary.

@mattiasviklund – By default (with a few options changed) you could likely create something similar but the actual layout with the “captions” at the side of the image would more likely require you create and use a custom template to accomplish.

Thanks for asking! If you have any further questions regarding the NextGEN Plus or NextGEN Pro plugins you are more than welcome to use our Contact form here: https://imagely.com/contact/

    Thanks, again!
