    I am trying to update to the latest version of WordPress and the geo-my-wp plugin to version 4. Hosting is running on PHP 8.1.22.

    Could you give me any advice on fixing the following error.

    PHP Fatal error: Declaration of GMW_Users_Locator_Addon::form_settings_groups() must be compatible with GMW_Addon::form_settings_groups($settings_groups = [], $form = []) in /home/daaaefea/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gmw-wordpress-users-locator/gmw-wordpress-users-locator.php on line 192

    N.B. I rolled back the plugin because this was a critical error stopping the site running. I have other javascript errors/conflicts that I am trying to clear with the older version, but the plugin is running on 3.7*.

    Hello @kworrall,

    You need to first update the WordPress Users Locator extension ( and any of GEO my WP’s premium extensions you might have ) and only then update GEO my WP core plugin.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Resolved now. Needed to deactivate the GMW user locator add on, before updating Geo My WP. Then update the reactivate the add on.

    Perfect.

    And yes, that is another way to prevent those errors.
