Hi! I recently installed this plugin and connected with GSuite to send website emails. Since then, I am getting a copy of Every. Single. Email. sent. I cannot figure out which setting is causing this!

So if a user resets their password, I get a copy of that email. (like it was bcc to the “from” address). I get a copy of every woocommerce email sent (the ones that are supposed to be to customers I am bcc on.

  • I have the same problem. Installed yesterday and now get copies of every email sent! This does not happen on other websites that I am using it on

It seems to be happening when sent through Gravity Forms

Mine is happening for every. email. Doesn’t matter whether form, WordPress, woocommece, etc.

    Hi @espressivo and @linco,

    that’s strange indeed.

I’ve tested and I don’t get any emails sent to my inbox when using Gmail mailer.

I do see the emails in my Gmail inbox under the “Sent” folder, but that’s now what you are seeing right?

@linco could you please check the Gravity forms settings and make sure there is no second notification email setup that is sent to your email address or if the email notification settings have your email address set for “to”, “cc” or “bcc” field.

@espressivo If you send the “Email Test” from our plugin settings, do you also get a copy of that email sent to your Gmail inbox?

You can both also check the “Original message” for more information. In Gmail:
    1. Open the email that was sent to you from the site.
    2. Next to “Reply” icon, click “More” icon then click “Show original”: https://a.supportally.com/oN4oWd

here you can check if your email address is specified in on of the headers: “to”, “cc”, “bcc” or any other header, that would let us know why the email was sent to you.

Let me know how it goes.

    Take care!

Hi! I just sent a test email that was copied to me.

    Here is that report:

    Hi @espressivo,

thank you very much for providing the original message.

I see that the Gmail sent emails are also displaying in the “All Mail” folder…

Are you maybe looking at this folder/section called “All Mail” in your Gmail account? https://a.supportally.com/KVgiQW

I’ve compared your original message with one of the “Sent” Gmail emails in my account that was sent from our plugin and the header:

“Received” contains “from” -> “Received: from …” , so it looks like this email is just the email that was Sent from your google account. It’s not a copy of the sent email addressed at your sending email. If it were, the header would be “Received: by” and your authorized email address used in our plugin would be in one of these headers: “to”, “cc”, “bcc”.

Let me know if this is the case (these email do not show up in the regular “Inbox” folder, but they do show up in “Sent” and “All Mail”).

    Take care!

Thank you for the tip!! Turns out it wasn’t the plugin’s fault (so sorry!) but just a weird filter. Here was the details:
    https://support.google.com/mail/thread/13992039?hl=en
The most common way that sent messages appear in your Inbox is if you have a filter in Settings->Filters that uses the “never send to spam” option. That forces all matching messages (including ones you send) to the Inbox.

Once the filter removed it seems to have stopped!
