Gmail Plain Auth won’t work.

  • This plugin was my favorite SMTP plugin for local development, but it does not work when you send a mail via gmail using plain auth. Although using gmail oauth2.0 api is recommended, plain login is still needed for local development.

  • That is more likely down to the settings within your Gmail account being set to “prevent less secure apps from connecting” which is hardly a fault of the plugin itself.

    I agree with @shinerweb – there doesn’t seem to be many others with this issue in the support forums.
