The email notifications are being sent (Contact Form 7 and Woo), but gmail emails are not receiving them. The “From” is an email address with the domain. Is there anything that could be done so that gmail addresses receive the email?

    Hi @delawaregrad

I hope you are doing well.

It appears that you haven’t set up Gmail with the API. Please refer to the Post SMTP Gmail Guide documentation linked here, set it up with the API, and let me know the outcome.

If you need any assistance, please feel free to ask.

    Thanks and regards,

We did end up using Google’s API and it’s working well. We did, however, remove our domain email address and are using a Gmail address as the from on the forms. Is that required? I wasn’t clear on that. thanks

Are you using your personal Gmail with Post SMTP on your website? Is your domain email hosted on G Suite?

This is a school club. They were using a free (cpanel) email with their domain at GoDaddy, but decided to remove the email account due to a spam issue. They are now using their personal Gmail email address for their forms – not domain email.

Okay, I understand. You can use your webmail email, and to address the spam issue, you need to add TXT records like DMARC, DKIM, and SPF in your domain’s cPanel. If you need any technical assistance, you can contact our support team here.

    Thanks and regards,
