    Hi,

I have a client jsut joined my hosting, with a website that was built by someone else, I don’t offer webmail on my server, so set this plugin up, like I don with most of my customers.

Sadly, this is the only site I have an issue with, and after 1-2 weeks, I log in and see the error. Is there a way to fix this?

I should add, this is using a free gmail account for the smtp, as the client didn’t want to use Google Workspace (Gsuite). and works everytime I cancel and read the connection.

    Hi @martinsuker,

could you please check if the google API project is in the “Production” mode by going to the Google API console, opening the project for our plugin integration, then go to “OAuth Consent Screen” and check the “Publishing status”. More info can be found in this screenshot.

Was this project created a long time ago or is it fairly new (a few months)?

    Take care!

    Hi there,
I have similar issues with Gmail SMTP on WP Mail SMTP.
The SMTP works only several days and then it stops with the error “Token has been expired or revoked.”
I checked “OAuth Consent Screen” and my “Publishing status” was on “testing”; Should I click on confirm?
should I do any action afterward?

I should mention that I am using Gmail and not able to use G-suit Service.

    please help me with that.
    Thanks for your the plug-in.

    Hi @mahdisadughi,

we just updated our Gmail mailer guide a few days ago, please check the section about changing from testing to production mode here: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/#from-testing-to-production

After you make that change, you should go to our plugin settings, remove the existing connection and re-connect.

This should resolve the issue of weekly “token has expired” errors.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Gregor;
The problem solved; Now “Publishing status” is on “In production” and it says “Verification not required”

    Thank You for your support.

    Hi @mahdisadughi,

I’m glad you resolved your issue ??

Did you also remove the connection in our plugin settings and re-connected, after you made the change to “In Production” in the Google OAuth app?

    Take care!

    Hi @capuderg
Yes I did; after I made change from “testing” to “In Production” in the Google OAuth app I removed the connection and reconnect it.
Afterward, I decided to cancel the current app because I was uploaded a LOGO and Google asked me to click on verification to analyze the app for a logo change.
Therefore, I created a new app for google API.

Thanks again for the great app, it really is unique among others!
