Hi. I have 2 questions for 2 different types of email addresses being used.

    1. I have the Google/Gmail option working fine as long as I can get my client to either provide me their credentials or I talk them through it. But is there a way I can set this up to use a client’s gmail account withoout having them provide me their password?
    2. I have a new client who is using an email address from their site domain. I am currently using Gmail OAuth via my gmail account but of course that is not what I desire. This could be answered by question 1 above. But then I also wonder if there is a different way to handle this since the email in question is not a gmail account.

    Thank you!

    Hi there @flatword,

To connect the lite version of WP Mail SMTP to Gmail, you will need either the Gmail App password or their connection details from their Google Console. These are the only ways to reach Google via the lite plugin.

    Gmail Mailerhttps://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/

    Other SMTP Mailerhttps://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-other-smtp-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/#gmail

Regarding the second question, the answer would be the same if that domain receives its email to a Gmail account. So if that domain uses Google Workspace, you would need to connect the lite version of our plugin through one of the methods mentioned above. Running the connection through your Gmail account can affect your own Google account.

However, if their domain connects to another mail provider, and that provider gives access to an SMTP server, you can use the Other SMTP mailer to connect to the account. You would need the details from the mail provider.

I hope this helps! Have a great day!
