    Hi Sed Lex!

I’ve just started using your plugin in my multisite installation.

At the moment, every blog can activate the plugin to get the following output:

    domain.com/blog1/qwert for blog1
    domain.com/blog2/asdfg for blog2

Would you consider an option to enable a global short url path for the entire network with an output like:

    domain.com/qwert (works like domain.com/blog1/qwert for blog1)
    domain.com/asdfg (works like domain.com/blog2/asdfg for blog2)

I would like to get rid of the blog names from the short url path.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Best,
    Mike

  • It is quite complex to implement but it is possible I believe

But not now I am quite busy for now

Actually, I checked if it was possible and it is not possible as two same shorturl exist on two different blog
    domain.com/blog1/qwert
    domain.com/blog2/qwert

Thus, if you type domain.com/qwert there would be a conflict that is impossible to handle

Only if you keep them in separate tables.

What if you store short urls in one table, under the network?

    Yes indeed but :
This is not how the table should work for security reasons
The whole plugin (export / import search) does not work like that and thus it should be deeply modified (75% of the plugins)
