Global edits to tags–is there a way?

Do you mean actually edit the name of that tag or what exactly?

I mean actually edit the name of a tag. For instance, if I tag some posts with “carrots”, but later on, I start tagging with “carrot”, no “s,” and I want to globally change the “carrot” tag to “carrots.” Or, I use a tag that’s similar to a popular technorati tag, but not exactly the same, and I decide I want to change all of my tags to match the more popular tag.

Well, the plugin Simple Tags does this beautifully, turns out.
