I am quite familiar with creating global product attributes as well as creating variable products. I have run into an issue with my client. I am training her to create her own variable products and when we get to the point of adding the global attribute (Size in this case), she clicks the “used for variations” tab and then when she goes to the Value(s) box and clicks in the box, no preset values drop down for her to choose from. It works fine on my machine (PC running Windows 7 with Chrome) but not on her PC running the same system and Chrome. It also doesn’t work with my husband’s Mac Laptop either. Is there something I can do to solve this please?

So I think I solved the issue and it all just dealt with the variation text that I was using. My client wanted to use S/M fits sizes 6, 8, 10 and M/L fits sizes 10, 12, 14 as the variations. But apparently you aren’t supposed to use “/” in the text if you want the variations to show up in the box for all computers. Wasted a good 3 hours on something so basic. Why isn’t this issue documented?

    Hey @craig3073

Can you post a screenshot of what you’re trying to save as an attribute so I can try to reproduce? Thanks.

Here’s a screen shot of the terms I was using and how they would drop down from the Value(s) box on my computer but not on my client’s or another Mac. Also there was no “Select All” and “Select None” boxes the Value(s) box. I believe the problem was the “/” used in the terms. First I removed the “/” and resaved the same attribute, the problem persisted. It was only once I deleted the whole attribute and started over without the “/” that the “Select All” and “Select None” boxes would appear below the Value(s) box.

    Hi craig3073,

I am using a Mac, and I’m able to create “s/m” as a size option in my Size attribute, and select it from a drop-down. I haven’t yet been able to re-create the issue you’ve been having where the attribute isn’t available for other users, so it’s possible that if this error existed it was fixed in the latest version of WooCommerce (but that seems like an amazing coincidence). Is it still happening for you?

    Cheers!
