Glitch with certain fields

    I’m finding that on my booking form, created with Contact Form 7, that a couple of fields have glitches: https://www.westcoast-mountainguides.co.uk/booking-form/

    1) Course Dates: this field always comes back as if nothing has been entered, so looks like this on the email: [text course-dates] I’ve tried submitting a form, and entered a date.

    2) Method of Payment: this field always duplicates the following field, How did you hear about us? So will come back with something like ‘Facebook’ or ‘Word of Mouth’.

    Here’s an example of a form I’ve just filled in and the email generated, glitches in bold:

    Scottish Courses: Walking Axe (￡5/day), Helmet (￡4/day)
    Alpine Courses:

    Total Course Fee: 200
    Deposit Paid 50% of Course Fee: 100
    Method of Payment: Word of Mouth
    How did you hear about us: Word of Mouth

  • 1. Use [course-dates] in Mail template, see also here.

    2. Use a different name for “hear about us” field, it currently has the same name as payment: payment-method

    Hi thanks. I tried entering [course-dates] in the mail template, and the text box/field disappeared, and the form displayed ‘[course-dates].

    Thanks for pointing out the error for the payment method field.

    Much appreciated.

    If the form displays [course-dates] you have oviously changed the Form template and not the Mail template.
