    Hi,

I’m using the Glider functionality with infinte loop on a popup.
I have multiple buttons opening up the same popup. How can I set from which slide the slider begins? ie. depending on the button opening up the popup i’d like the slider to begin showing from slide umber 2 (ie. 2,3,4,5,1 etc) or slide number 3 (3,4,5,1).

I’m not trying to change the order of the slides but rather just change from where the slide begins.

The alternative is to create a popup for each button and change the order of the slides – which is really inefficient.

    Thanks in advance

P.S.Really awesome plugin! Can see that a lot of love and effort went in to building it

That’s impossible. As simple as that. There’s a way to control the slider via the “external” links, however, the Popup can’t handle any kind of parameters/arguments. Why? I guess because it’s loaded with the page and it lives as a part of the page, you don’t trigger it as you would trigger another Browser window…

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    Can you recommend another solution?
Won’t having 6 different pop ups on a single page slow down the loading time of that page significantly?

I basically have 6 tiles and on clicking each tile a popup opens up with more information. The client wants the functionality that once a popup is open the user can click forward and back arrows to view the other pops of the other tiles without having to close the current popup and then clicking on a different tile.

You gonna have to move your Glider controller to the Popup itself somehow – if Popup is the condition. All of those tile-links must open the same Popup and the Glider inside must land to slide #1 every time. That’s the reality.
If you ask me what I would do…
I wouldn’t mess with the Popup at all simply because it doesn’t bring any technical nor functional advantage (from the UX point of view, of course). I’d create a Glider that’s controlled by the tile-links, right on the page.

Hmm, I’m trying to understand what you meant by ‘I’d create a Glider that’s controlled by the tile-links, right on the page’

Would you mind taking a look at the page – https://getsomeclass.com/subscription-classes-2/ (not optimized for mobile yet)

I used the popup because the client wants a modal overlay to appear after clicking on a ‘learn more’ button

Oh, that’s a completely different story! Sorry, I couldn’t know that these tiles are THAT big, I was having a picture of a tab-size tile(s), and which in turn ends up with something like this: https://elementor.wpshow.me/ooohboi/__anenglishman_suprsection/

Glider controls can be custom designed, and placed outside the Glider as well, since V1.6

If your current design is a must then I don’t think you’ll be able to bring your plan with the Popup on…

Ah I see your example. And as you said the controllers cant be outside the popup and effect the glider inside the popup.

I’m still going to try to come up with a solution!
