I’d like someone to help me picking orders in my webshop. But for this they need to have access to the orders to see the picking list. What is the best practise to do this? I have two factor authentication. I could give them my username and password but they do not have access to my email, so they won’t be able to log in if it asks for a verification code. I could give them some backup codes, but those are limited and I don’t know how to generate new ones.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

With WordPress and WooCommerce by default, you can always create a new user with the desired role from wp-admin >> users. A plugin like User Role Editor can be used to create custom user roles.

This article contains some additional information on the topic:

I wouldn’t recommend giving your own administrator login credentials and backup codes to anyone.

WooCommerce by default doesn’t come with two-factor authentication by default so I’d suggest reaching out to the support team of the plugin which introduces this functionality on your site.

Since two-factor authentication is not something that is handled by WooCommerce – I’m marking this thread as resolved.

Ah, I didn’t know users were more than just customers, as I hadn’t explored that part of WordPress yet. I created an account for them and it works perfectly. Thanks!
