Hi there. I’m aware of the Upsells plugin which can add donation prompts at checkout, but can the main GiveWP plugin integrate with WooCommerce in any way so that the whole checkout/payment process for the donation is carried out through WooCommerce and its associated payment gateway?

    Hi, @cosmicjamie.

    Glad you reached out.

So, what you are looking for here is to accept the donations using GiveWP but all the payment to run through WooCommerce? If that’s what you are looking for, I’m afraid it’s not possible. Currently, using the Upsell add-on you can accept donations during the payment in your store, but you do not have an entire form there.

?Although we do not have this feature out of the box, it would be exciting and valuable to understand how it would work for you and improve your workflow, so the product development team has some insights into how it would behave.

Also, is there any workaround that you are using? It would be good to hear from you about that too, and what this feature would allow you to do. All ideas are appreciated, and I’m happy to share your insights with the product development team so that they can discuss the feasibility of this feature.

I hope it clarifies, and looking forward to hearing back from you!

Thanks for getting back to me Matheus.

It was a client of ours who wanted this capability so that they could keep their donations and shop purchases all within the same checkout process to avoid customers having to make two individual payments.

They were previously using a WooCommerce product to achieve this which is of course not the best way of doing it due to the fixed pricing. As it’s not possible with GiveWP we will be able to achieve it by using a “Name Your Price” plugin for WordPress and allowing the customer to choose the purchase/donation price.

I hope that info is of use to you and I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me.

Thanks for taking the time to share insights with us. I’ll pass them to the product development team, for sure.

    Have a great day! ??
