GiveWP/Stripe stuck in permanent pending

Hi there,

This is most often caused by a lack of the proper webhook (a mechanism for sending data from Stripe to Give) set in your Stripe account. Our documentation on setting up the webhook is here:

If the webhook is correctly configured, you should see a record in the logs at Donations > Tools > Logs > Stripe for every event at Stripe (going forward).

Double-check that webhook and let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the response. I followed this doc to setup the connection in Stipe and GiveWP very well. Now, Donations > Tools > Logs > Stripe says: Unable to create a payment intent. Details: An unknown error occurred.

Hi there,

Make sure that you are running the latest version of the Stripe API. You can check that on your Stripe dashboard on the developers tab.

If that doesn’t resolve things, I’ll need a little more context from the back end of Stripe. Under the Developers section, there’s an Events list, and there may be something useful in either that or the logs explaining what the problem is.

Pass along that (redacted) info here, and I’ll see what I can find.

Hi guys,

I’m having the same issue, stuck on pending. Although the payment is going into Strip and I receive the Stripe email notification. I dont receive the Give email notification until the status goes to complete. This Give notification is the one I really need as it has the donors address.

Eventually I give up. Switch to other plugin. Sad.
