GiveWP Donation Form Error

    Hello all,

    Recently I added GiveWP to my site and am using the Square payment gateway to process donations. The GiveWP form I created was working on May 3rd just fine, and payments were going through to my Square account.

    Today however (May 7th), whenever a donation is made, after the “donate” button is clicked, any donation will not go through, and instead I receive a message of the following nature: “Error: An error occurred while processing the donation. Please try again.”

    I have tried multiple card numbers to see if that was the issue. It was not. I tried donating through the Square gateway via another plugin (WPEasyPay, which is what I was using before upgrading to GiveWP) and that donation went through to my Square account. I disabled/enabled test mode, the Square gateway, and pretty everything I could think of to no avail.

    I’m starting to think it may actually be a problem on GiveWP’s end, but perhaps someone else has experienced a similar issue and resolved it? Any help is appreciated.

    HI there!

    Two things on that:

    1. We’ve been getting reports of this, but it’s inconsistent and we are thinking it’s related to something with Square specifically. Many users have had success by simply deactivating the Square connection via the Connect button, and then connecting there again.

    2. Because Square is a paid add-on, we need to ask you to submit your ticket via our Priority Support system, the moderators of this forum require that.
