Gives Fatal error message when activated

Can you give me the fatal error details? It’s probably in your xampp apache error log.

I cant find something in the error log, but may be this message, when activating the plugin helps:
Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\custom-content-by-country\content-by-country.php on line 399

@crashguru I assume your using a PHP 5.3+

This may need to be changed by the plugin author for future release.

I am also getting the same error after migrating to another server, and also after upgrading to a latest WordPress.
here is what the error says,

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/username/domains/domain.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/custom-content-by-country/content-by-country.php on line 399

This is what i found under the apache error log almost stating the same thing,

Trying to update to the latest update 2.9 but the “The IP-2-Nations” database is not being installed in my database, the browser is just keep on circulating or fetching the page but its not being installed. After a while the browser stops and gives me an timeout error.

Please let me know what should i do, if possible how can i install the “The IP-2-Nations” database manually.

Hmm, not sure what you can do about that. Sounds a bit odd especially if you have successfully before.

You can do it manually of course, perhaps through phpmyadmin and upload the sql file that’s included with the plugin itself… have a look through the folders for this plugin, it’s in a folder called inc/ip2nation

Simply import this sql file into your WP database and it’ll do it all for you.
