• Problems with Give emails:
    1. Receipts were sent to the wrong person- Person A would donate and get Person B’s receipt.
    2. Email Cop showed that emails are now not even being sent by Give when I tried to send a test donation receipt.

Emails worked initially. Now they don’t.

Emails are being sent by WordPress. I can trigger an email from WordPress fine. The problem seems to be with Give.

    HI there,

Sorry you’re having trouble. We don’t have other reports of this issue so most likely it’s something unique about your WordPress environment or configuration of plugins/theme. Please provide the following information so I can help further:

    1) Provide a link to your Give form, and add the Test Donation gateway so I can test it
    2) Provide your System Info by going to “Donations > Settings > System Info”
    3) For good measure, make sure that your Donation Confirmation page is excluded from any and all caching you might be using.

Let me know on those items. Thanks!

    Hi there:

I have the same problem with email. When i click on the Sent Test Email button, I got the message The test email has been sent. But i never receive the email. Used Check Email plugin to confirm that emails being sent out ok. Tried a $1 donation and Email Cop showed that nothing sent out. Below is my system info. Thank you so much for your help.

Here is the link to the form: https://vnhope.org/donations/donate-to-vnhope/

I tested the “Send Test Email” button and I did see a minor issue with it actually. But it did nevertheless send the email correctly for me. You can track our progress on this issue here:
    https://github.com/WordImpress/Give/issues/1231

In the meantime, here’s a couple things I’d work on:

    1) Please confirm that the Donation was actually marked in Give as “Complete”. That email won’t send until the Donation is completed.
    2) Your cURL version is over 7 years old. If your host can update that to 7.40 at minimum that would be excellent
    3) Please deactivate all plugins and try again. It’s possible one of your plugins is causing the conflict.
    4) Review our doc on Troubleshooting Email issues and see if that helps you have more clarity:
    https://givewp.com/documentation/core/settings/emails/troubleshooting-common-email-problems/

Let me know how that goes.

    Thank you for your response.

Can you clarify what you did specifically from the Troubleshooting Email doc? Which actions did you take from that besides using Email Cop? Did you try the Postman plugin?

I would also check with GoDaddy support on this. See if they have any insight.
