Github fork with some added features

I have downloaded and updated my salesforce.php with the latest version on github and really look forward to when these updates become official.

I am having some issues though trying to create a checkbox selection.

1.) The first issue I am seeing when I view the page is that it is showing the input first and then the label.

2.) I have entered my checkbox options in the options field like “A|B|C|etc.” but when I view the page it only shows one checkbox and nothing else.

Right now, checkboxes elements are defined per value (otherwise, they would be select elements), which explains why a single checkbox element is only producing a single checkbox in the form.

I just want to make sure I am clear on what you said, if I have options A, B, & C, I would have to create a new field for each? If this is correct I thought the point of having a checkbox option would be so I could list A, B, & C and let the user select any combination of them in 1 field so I wouldn’t have to create individual fields for each.

You’d have the same field name, you would just repeat the element with a different value. If this isn’t sufficient, open up an “issue” in the tracker on github, and someone will work on it.

Sounds like you’re looking for a checkbox list (choose any of the following) vs. a boolean (yes/no) checkbox.

It’s a good feature idea but not in either version at present.

Yes, that would be correct, I did not realize the checkbox option was only supposed to be a yes/no type of checkbox. Thank you for the clarification.

You don’t have to have both names and values if name == value. It allows a shorthand, so instead of:

A:A|B:B|C:C

you can instead write:

A|B|C

This will work (delete countries as needed)

FYI- 2.1 was released today which includes all the changes in this fork (and a bunch of other goodies)… except current_date. So feel free to upgrade if you’re not using that field ??

If you are using it, please tell me how & why so I can determine if and how I should include that.

Why: leads are date stamped by SF – why would you need a current date field?

The major issues with including it:

– php date formatting is not user friendly
– timezone and formatting issues with salesforce (e.g. how is the time actually getting parsed by Salesforce)

Someone had requested it; I hadn’t particular had an opinion on it one way or the other. ??

How do I fire an ‘onSelectedIndex changed event’ for the country drop down? I am trying to populate STATE field based on the country selected. Need to disable STATE dropdown if country selected is NOT USA or CANADA.
