• Hello,

it seems Ginger does not block automatically the Cookies by the Analytics Tool Piwik / Matomo.

Matomo has a solution of how to modify the script in order to block the Cookies:
    https://matomo.org/faq/general/faq_157/

Can you include this in your tool, as Piwik / Matomo is used very often and Google Analytics in the future at least for Germany a webmaster needs a conctract with Google to allow them to handle the data of the Website (Auftragsdatenverarbeitung – data processing commission).

For your acitvity logger I would suggest that the IP is anonymized after the first three Blocks 123.456.789.xxx to increase privacy and don’t generate additional personal data (ip address is named as means to identify a Person).

  • Please include this in your code.

We use Piwik/Matomo for our websites.

…yes, please, add Matomo. If not, I tried to add https://praesenz-web.de/piwik/piwik.js as a custom js URL but this did not exclude the cookie, even not in the asynchronous mode. What can be wrong?
There are five URLs shown by ghostery, would be
    http(s)://praesenz-web.de/piwik/
enough as a path – in case it works in general first… ??

…you see, it would be easier for us if added it… ??
    Thanks!
