I have been trying to understand why the single product page in my client’s store loads very slowly. I looked in the source code of the page and I see that the images, which are supposed to be thumbnails, are loaded at full size 1500x1500px and are just shrunk in CSS. This is a very bad practice, can I ask for a plugin update so that the thumbnails are actually thumbnails?

    hello,

juat go to the plugin options under WooCommerce>SVI and choose the image size to load from the available in the system. Including thumbnail.

Thank you for the quick reply. You mean this?

It’s already been set to shop_thumbnail

It’s fine now, I’ve enabled “Show SRCSET” and the thumbnails are displayed at the correct size. If I may express my opinion, this option should be checked by default, because it has no negative impact.
    Thank you

    yes, correct!

if it’s not loading correctly is because the images have not been generated by the system and you will have to regenerate the images.

SVI doesn’t manipulate images it uses what the system provides.

    cheers,
