Gifting a variable product

Dear users,

I very close to completion of my Woocommerce webshop, for which i am very grateful ??

However, i still want to have one thing: buy X get Y (for free), where Y is an variable product (such as color so the user can pick his prefered color). I have tried about 5 plugins, including Woocommerce’s Chained Products, but neither supports variable products where one can choose the variation of his liking as the gift.

Does anyone now a plugin that does this? It is okay if its premium.
