Gift Card Taxes

  • Hi! I need to apply a tax fee to my gift cards, but I’m not able to choose which one from the product. I need my store to have 10% VAT as standard, but on some product, including gift card, I need 22% and I can’t choose this option.

    Another thing: as you can see in this page https://dottlattuada.it/linea-benessere/prodotto/carta-regalo/ if you choose, for example, a 20€ gift card, in the cart it’ll cost 22€ (20 + 10%) and this isn’t very user friendly. I’d like to be able to insert the price without taxes and associate a tax category to each gift card amount (somewhat like product variants).

    hope you are doing well! ??

    Unfortunately, this plugin version doesn’t allow to add different tax classes to the gift cards.

    For the second issue, it depends on the tax configuration you have on WooCommerce. In “WooCommerce > Settings > Tax” you can select the option “Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax” to avoid to display a different price in the product page and the cart.

    Thanks for the answer! Unfortunately I have to insert prices without taxes (because the website integrates with other external services that require this kind of configuration) and this is a little bit of a problem for me mhhhhh

    Could there be some sort of a workaround? Maybe javascript/jquery but I think that wouldn’t be the cleanest thing to do… mhh…
