GIF support in gallery

  • Thank you for the great plugin. I would also need to have a gif file in gallery, but unfortunately, the gif file is not animating after adding to gallery.

    Are gif file supported? Or will be?

    Typically, it should work if WordPress natively supports it. However, I’ll test it to see if there’s an issue on the plugin side and find a possible fix for it.

    @kosak – The reason animated GIFs do not animate after loading into the gallery is that the gallery image size is forced to be 150px x 150px. WordPress does not resize animated GIFs. However, if you are using the full image URL to show the animated GIFs on your site, they should work correctly.

    @navzme Yes, that’s correct and there is a way how to get work GIFs after loading into the gallery, please?
