• Whenever I upload a gif to my media gallery (an actual file, not an html link), it’ll say the file type is “image/gif”, but it’s just a static image. I had to move my site to a different host and a gif I uploaded from 5-6 years ago works… but no new gifs uploaded work. Even if I download that working gif and reupload it, it’ll be static.

It needs to work in the media gallery as I’m adding the image into a FooGallery afterwards… but even when I add it into a page as a single image and have “full size” selected, it doesn’t work. And there’s no “attachment display settings” when you view it in the media gallery either (back when I uploaded the older gif). Only when you try to add it into a post.

Does wordpress not allow gifs to work anymore unless it’s just a link to another website? The only way I was able to get new gifs to work was through a plugin, but I’d have to pay for the amount of frames I want. But I shouldn’t need a plugin for a basic file format anyway.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
