    Hi,
I’m trying to display a new-style google spreadsheet, with the following shortcode:
    [gdoc key=”1WMPXVeP39zpmoBuJ-MBRwN7JgUe_1OtxpDUuqI6GN3Y” gid=”1223950888″ query=”select A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I” ]

(I’m not using the URL key option due to an error my browser displays).
the ‘gid’ and ‘query’ do not work, and the the full table of the gid=0 sheet is displayed.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Dana.

Some more clarifications in case your answer is to use the full URL key:
When trying to use the URL as a key, I get a google login page (even though the spreadsheet is published to the web). When logged in, the following error appears:
“Oops! Your browser seems to have cookies disabled. Make sure cookies are enabled or try opening a new browser window.”
None of my 3 browsers have cookies disabled, yet they all show the same error.
I will appreciate any help regarding this issue if this is the only solution to the ‘gid’ & ‘query’ problem.
    Thanks.

The “Publish to the Web” and “Share publicly” features of Google Sheets are (confusingly) two different features. New Google Sheets require the latter. The query attribute only works on new Google Sheets, and the full URL is required to indicate to the plugin that your spreadsheet is a “new” style Sheet.

See the first screenshot for where to find the “Share publicly” feature.

    I don’t know how did I miss that one…
    Thanks!

    ??

Trust me, it’s more annoying for me that you missed it and had to ask than it was for you, given that MANY people OFTEN miss it even though it’s right there in the plugin description, in the screenshots, and the FAQ. If you have any suggestions for how to make that more obvious, I’m all ears. A quick search of this forum will show that many of these threads are actually that exact same question asked and answered over and over again.
