    I am using NextGen Plus on the private pages of an organization website.
    NextGen Gallery version 2.1.46, Photocrati NextGEN Plus version 1.3.24
    Recently a line of ghost text is appearing above an album display, as seen in the attached screen image.

    In this case, the gallery “Fall Harvest and Step Moves” is the first gallery added to the album #17, which has been placed on the page using [album id=17 template=extend]

    The text “Feb 25 Triple Play” appears just above the displayed album. The text itself is the title of an older gallery that has nothing to do with [album id=17 template=extend].

    It shows up in the source code of the page as
    <p><ul class=”ngg-breadcrumbs”>
    <li class=”ngg-breadcrumb”>
    Feb 25 Triple Play

    This is happening with other albums, but with different ghost text, always the title of an old gallery, seldom a gallery that was even included in that album.

    Note: I have edited the album so it has a page link, but ghost text is still showing up in the breadcrumbs area.

    How do I get rid of this ngg-breadcrumb text?

    @kimsolga – Displaying breadcrumbs is the default behavior of NextGEN Basic Albums (this is not a NextGEN Plus concern). Unfortunately NextGEN Legacy templates (which you are calling in the NextGEN Legacy shortcode) do not support the current NextGEN Gallery album defaults.

    If you prefer to use shortcodes then you should consider using the current structures as noted here: https://imagely.com/docs/nextgen-gallery-shortcodes/

    If you want to continue to use NextGEN Legacy shortcodes for the albums then you will most likely need to turn off breadcrumbs in general under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Extended Album (in this case, as noted by your template); it might also be a good idea to do the same under NextGEN Basic Compact Album as well.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

    PS: Using the Insert Gallery Window (IGW) / Add Gallery button will also sort out this issue as well (provided you do not choose a legacy template) but will also be more suitable with the next release of NextGEN Gallery where we are replacing the <img> placeholder with full (current) shortcodes.
